Hazelwell Church Centenary Year Appeal
The mission hall was licensed as a chapel and for the celebration
of the sacraments and on the 21st July 1916 was dedicated by
the Venerable CE Hopton, Archdeacon of Birmingham. We would
like to mark this 100 years of worship here by raising some funds
to alter the chancel to enable wheelchair and pushchair access and
to enable friends who are less steady on their feet to be able to
safely approach the Holy Table for communion or a blessing.
Can you help? Please give any sum you can or try to raise
£100.00 as an individual or in a group during this year. If you are
a tax payer, we can claim back your tax if you give us details on
the envelope provided. Thank you for any donation you feel
able to make.
‘In the faith of Jesus Christ, we place this foundation stone, in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost, that here true faith, the fear of God and brotherly love may dwell and that this Mission Hall and Sunday School of Saint Mary Magdalen maybe set apart for the worship of God, for the instruction of the young and for the honour of the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.’
